Janitorial industry is actually the backbone of the services industry in the US, with thousands of companies to choose from from small, medium to large companies. When choosing a janitorial services company, always remember your objective. Think of how many times per week is budgeted for this service. Also, make it clear what taks you require that they complete. List all these things together and have it ready for the potential janitorial companies’ interview.
With so many companies in this industry, it would be beneficial to contact only those companies that fits your criteria of cleaning. Ask question regarding the nature of their business and their staff’s capabilities. For instance, if you have regular cleaning duties and the floor needs to be done daily, don’t call janitorial companies who do not have floor works.
Interview only those companies that seem to meet the qualifications and ask them for proposals based on your requirement in cleaning. Get this proposal in writing and look elsewhere if the company will not provide one. Ask for references and visit those facilities that are similar with yours. From there you can see how they work. Lastly, compare the companies proposals and make a selection.
